The last time Gary Roberts weighed 230 lb., he was in his 20s. Now, at almost
40 years old, he’s down to 236 lb. after a few weeks of WODs at Oceanside CrossFit
and eating Paleo.
In this episode of Killing the Fat Man—called “I don’t think I will every buy cereal again”—Roberts talks about his improved mood, a better relationship with his 15-year-old daughter and revamped eating habits.
“I was such in a rut in life,” he says. “I’m working out, I’m feeling better about myself. I’m not so down about the future overall.”
Roberts has eliminated fast food and soda, as well as bread and pasta.
Plus, he finally got double-unders and kipping pull-ups.
“To have my family look at me and be proud of me is exciting.”
