Shoeless people in Lancaster County are as common as can be. Most are plain folks: Mennonite or Amish
This fellow caught my eye as he was checking out at a local hardware store (which happens to be owned by shoe-wearing Mennonites).
He wasn't dressed as a member of the plain community and seemed to just be an old-school hippie. Who didn't like wearing shoes.
